The ARK is a very unique project in Santa Teresa, offering much more than just lots for sale. Located a short 5-minute drive from Santa Teresa beach and spread over 80 hectares of rolling hills, The ARK is a village where regeneration, wellness, creativity and community come together. Residents are invited to truly become part of a village community.
The ARK encompasses 80 hectares of land, 25 hectares of which are protected as a forest reserve. A further 6 hectares has been set aside for the farm, which is already producing an abundance of produce using permaculture and regenerative agriculture techniques. The rest of the land will be a mixture of individually titled residential lots, as well as community infrastructure and amenities. There is already lots going on: the ARKADIA school is in construction, there is a children’s playground, a beautiful yoga shala, communal kitchen and gathering area, several fire pits, padel and pickleball courts and more on the way. A semi-olympic swimming pool, wellness and art-center, co-working space and health center are planned for the next stage of the community amenities development.
There is a wonderful community events program, with activities to which everyone in the greater Santa Teresa community is welcome - this includes daily movement classes, concerts, seasonal celebrations, workshops and more. All the events are donation based and with the first residents living up there, they are gaining momentum and popularity.

The ARK offers full support services during construction (architecture, permits, cost control and onsite representation through the building process), as well as a complete property management service post construction. The community also offers 24 hour security, for complete peace of mind.
The Ocean View Lots - The available ocean view lots measure between 5,000m2 and 6,500m2. Pricing starts at $525,000 and goes up to $669,000. These lots have gentle rolling hills and gorgeous views of the valleys, mountains and the ocean. There is a real feeling of spaciousness here, with beautiful breezes across topography that lets you enjoy the full expanse of your property. There is enough space on each lot to have a family home plus guest house and for planting your own food forest, if desired. Each lot will have access to the San Isidro ASADA (the equivalent of having a municipal water connection). In line with the ethos of the community, electricity must be provided with the installation of a solar system.
It is definitely worth the visit to view these beautiful lots, which offer a real feeling of peace and tranquility, and yet are just a short drive down to the beach and restaurants of Santa Teresa town.
If you are looking to become a resident of a contemporary village rooted in regeneration, healthier living and inclusivity, this community might be for you. The Ark has a higher, long term purpose to serve as a blueprint for other global communities. All residents and buyers become shareholders in the project and will share profits, shaping a shared future within the community. Currently there are 34 residents form over 16 countries living in The Ark and this is just the beginning! Lot pricing will increase over time as the infrastructure and programs continue to grow.
The Ark also offers payment plans for lots and Fractional Ownership options.
At 2Costa Rica Real Estate we are honored to represent this beautiful community and collaborative project.
