The neighbors are getting tipsy

I am never adverse to a delicious glass of wine… but living at the beach in Santa Teresa, a long hot and dusty drive from the city, my expectations of finding such a thing have never been too high.  A fantastic, fresh, tropical cocktail – definitely (the most incredible and delicious being from Drift Bar… but that is for another blog post!).  A delectable, carefully temperature-controlled bottle of red or rose – not so much.

But things are changing around here! Luckily for me our new neighbor in the plaza, Tipsy, is upping the stakes when it comes to providing a high-quality, flavorsome and fun vino tasting experience! Newly opened in March of this year, the wine shop and bar has brought some upscale nightlife to the plaza.  They moved in next to Pronto, and often team up with their neighbor to offer nights of live music, incredible Italian food and delicious drinks!  Keep an eye out during the season for the live music nights.

Tipsy is a must visit whatever the time of year – they will be open all through the rainy season, closing only in October for a short period.  You can browse their selection of quality wines and take one home for dinner.  Or you can sit and enjoy a glass with friends, accompanied by a selection of French cheeses and other goodies!

The Tipsy duo – Natalia (Costa Rican) and Louis (French) – will make you feel right at home and have a lot of knowledge that will help you pick the best bottle for whatever occasion. We love our neighbors!
