Drift Bar is a MUST VISIT if you are in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. From the main road, it would be easy to miss this little gem of a place - which would be a mistake! So go hunt it out. You will be rewarded with an amazing menu of fresh, all natural cocktails, delicious wines and locally crafted artisanal beers (my favorite is the IPA from La Perra Hermosa Coastal Brewery). The food menu is original and unique - all dishes are vegetarian (with a ton of vegan options), with new dishes introduced every couple of weeks. The food is made with such love, you can taste it! Try the amazing Sliders; or the Veggie Gyozas; or the Thai Curry; or the Chickpea Chana Masala... and so many more healthy, delicious options. And then to top it all off, you can visit the on-site art studio and gallery of two extremely talented local artists - Sharon Ramsay and Sandy Mott.

The Drift Bar is the creation of Sharon Ramsay – an artist, originally from Scotland. Prior to moving to Costa Rica, Sharon owned an art gallery in Montreal and worked as a bartender, creating cocktail menus for various restaurants in the city. Sharon created The Drift Bar a few years ago, as a full-service mobile cocktail bar for weddings and events. The idea was to offer delicious cocktails with natural, fresh-pressed juices and no artificial ingredients. All the drinks offered are made with fresh-pressed juices, sodas and alcohol infused with herbs and spices – all made in-house.
Sharon expanded her concept in 2017, creating the Drift Bar to Go shop, opposite Hotel Tropico Latino. In 2018 she expanded further – opening up the restaurant and the art gallery. And she hasn’t finished yet. There are more plans in the work for 2019!
