Santa Teresa is a tourist destination that is ever increasing in popularity. Surfers visit for the consistent year-round waves, whilst others come to enjoy being immersed in nature and wildlife; or to experience the beautiful white-sand beach; the fishing; diving or yoga! And there are hotel options here to cater to all types of visitors.
Starting on the lower end of the market, there are a number of surf hostels that are owner-managed catering to the budget traveller, with good value rates whilst providing all the amenities that they would need. These generally offer a mixture of dorm rooms and private rooms, and are located within walking distance of the beach and the bars/restaurants of town.
There are a number of beautiful bed & breakfasts and mid-range hotels, that offer private rooms often with a kitchen or kitchenette. Catering to clients with a higher budget, some of these will be in the hills above the beach for which a vehicle is required. All of them either offer spectacular ocean views or the ability to walk to the beach. These mid-range hotels will have anywhere between 6 and 15 bedrooms.
And then there are the beachfront hotels, which offer the magical experience of being steps to the white-sand beach and falling asleep to the hypnotic sound of the ocean. Again, there are a range of offerings on the beachfront with rooms starting at as low as $100 per night up to $800 per night. The mystique of Santa Teresa and its beaches continues to enchant travellers, and as the transfer options from San Jose and Liberia continue to increase, we believe that the area offers great opportunities for those looking for a hospitality investment.
